ABOUT ME

Joe Pignato is an award-winning film and visual media composer whose music has been featured in numerous narrative films, television shows, and branded content. With a foundation as a guitarist and rock musician, Joe brings a distinctive blend of contemporary scoring techniques and genre-driven energy to his work for the screen.

 

His career began performing in local bands before a pivotal moment in 2010, when he shared the stage with guitar legend Steve Vai. Shortly thereafter, Joe was selected by Vai as a winner of the Guitar Center Private Session Guitar Competition. This experience helped steer him toward formal studies in film scoring and orchestration and ultimately a full-time career composing for picture.

 

Joe’s music spans a wide stylistic range—from atmospheric underscore and hybrid orchestral writing to guitar-driven, modern textures—allowing him to support a variety of tones and storytelling needs. His work has been featured in projects for Verizon, ABC, MTV, SyFy, Lifetime, USA Network, as well as numerous award-winning films and multimedia productions.
